VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR GOLF
TOURNAMENT
This is from
Bill Jonas to all my friends at the Post. This will draw attention (who
is Bill Jonas?). On our way to the Auxiliary Miniature Golf Tournament
(great event) Susie and I saw some young folks selling lemonade on their
street corner.
Their sign
indicated the proceeds of their efforts would go to our troops in some
way. A thought struck me, these fine young people were contributing
their own personal time for a worthwhile cause—they were VOLUNTEERS.
Who dreamed up such an idea? There was a message in our last
Andy-O-Gram asking for VOLUNTEERS for our 17th Annual Charity
Golf Tournament, which is the Post’s largest single charity event.
Seventeen
years, you never heard of it huh? Proceeds got to Hospice of Bay Pines
for Veterans, and to All Children’s Hospital. Anyway the meeting was
not very crowded, I didn’t need one full had to count with. I know there
is some CIVIC PRIDE left at or Post. I am having another meeting on
Monday, May 3 at 7p.m. The other guy isn’t going to show up—you show
up. If you don’t, you lose!
Thanks, Bill
